FAQ

What types of services do you offer?

I offer a wide range of photography services including photography for weddings, portraits, couples, families, events, and more. The packages you see listed on my website only encompass the most popular requests I receive. If you have an idea for a session that falls outside of the listed packages, please reach out so we can make your vision a reality!

How do I book a session with you?

Booking a session is easy. Simply reach out to me through my website, email, or Instagram, and let me know the type of session you're interested in. I'll guide you through the process, discuss your options, and find a convenient date and time for your session.

How is the price of the session calculated?

For portraiture, including individual and couples sessions, my fee is $100 per hour plus $50 per hour of editing. For events, such as weddings, I charge a flat fee. The more time I spend capturing your photos, the more time I spend meticulously editing them in my signature style. My fees are weighted against the time it takes to deliver a quality selection of photos from our session.

Do you require a booking fee?

Yes, a $50 non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your session. Your booking fee serves as a mutual commitment to your session date. It instantly reserves your spot on my calendar and allows me to begin dedicated pre-session planning and preparation for your shoot.

What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?

I understand that sometimes life gets in the way of the plans we make. If you need to reschedule, please let me know at least 3 days before our session, and we will apply your booking fee towards a new date. For cancellations made within less than 3 days, a new booking fee will be required to secure a future spot.

Is the booking fee refundable?

The $50 booking fee is non-refundable because it immediately locks in your session date, turning away other potential clients for that specific time. This fee also compensates for the administrative work, location scouting, and creative planning that begins the moment you book. The booking fee can be transferred to a new date, provided you reschedule at least three days before our session. Additionally, the booking fee applies towards your session total.

Can I choose the location for our photo shoot?

Absolutely! I believe that the location plays a significant role in capturing unique and personalized photographs. Whether it's at your home, a scenic outdoor location, or a venue of your choice, I'm open to capturing your portraits in a place that holds meaning to you.

How long does a typical photo session last?

The duration of a photo session varies depending on the type and scope of the project. Portrait sessions typically range from 1 to 2 hours, while events and weddings can span several hours. I strive to provide ample time to capture all the important moments and ensure you feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the session.

What should I wear to my session?

I recommend wearing outfits that make you feel confident, comfortable, and entirely yourself. Earthy tones, neutral colors, and subtle textures look beautiful on camera. It is best to avoid large logos, neon colors, and distracting patterns. Feel free to bring a backup outfit, and remember that coordinating colors always photographs better than matching perfectly. If you're uncertain, feel free to reach out before your session for some advice!

How should I pose? I'm afraid I will look silly and awkward.

If you feel nervous or uncomfortable in front of the lens, please know that is completely normal—almost everyone does. My goal isn't to force you into stiff, awkward poses, but to create a relaxed space where you can just be yourself. We will move at your pace, laugh through the awkwardness, and focus on genuine moments rather than perfection. You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands; I will guide you through the entire process so you can just breathe and enjoy the experience.

How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?

I understand the anticipation of seeing your final photos, I'm excited for you to see them too. My editing process typically takes 2-3 weeks, depending on the volume of images and the complexity of editing required. For weddings, I ask for 4 weeks of editing time. I prioritize quality and attention to detail so I can deliver exceptional images that exceed your expectations, but that level of care takes time to achieve.

What happens if the weather is unfavorable on the day of an outdoor shoot?

If the weather doesn't cooperate on the day of an outdoor shoot, we can discuss alternatives such as rescheduling the session or finding an indoor location. Rescheduling due to bad weather does not forfeit your booking fee and is free of charge. I want to ensure the best possible outcome for your photos and am flexible in adapting to unforeseen circumstances.

How many photos will I receive?

Depends on the type of session! For a standard 1 to 2-hour portrait session, you can expect to receive a curated gallery of 20 to 30 fully edited, high-resolution digital images. For events, such as wedding, you can expect 50 - 60 fully edited, high-resolution digital images.

Do you provide the RAW files?

I do not deliver unedited or RAW photos from my sessions. Here's why: RAW files are unfinished ingredients, not a final piece of art. The editing process—including color correction, lighting adjustments, and styling—is half of my creative signature.  During a shoot, I take hundreds of photos to capture the perfect one. Part of my professional service is sorting through those files to filter out blinks, duplicates, and test shots, ensuring you only receive the absolute best, most flattering highlights.
